That's what I think of when remembering this morning. Standing there alone(no other people) but with the company of 6 or 7 young bucks. They were romping around playing tag, and frolicking about. It was great to watch. They were actually ruining my comp, cause I don't have a fast long lense to form a comp around them. But eventually only two remained at a distance suitable for including in the scene. Intense spring greens emerge from the alders along the banks of the Merced, as Yosemite Falls thunders in the background. I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for your thoughts. A larger version is included as well.

Beautiful scene, Chris. I like the surging falls in the background and the deer in the meadow in the foreground. I'll bet that the scene is even better when printed large (assuming the deer are sharp). Thanks for sharing it.

Peaceful, poetic, and a little melancholy for me (knowing the amount of traffic this area gets). A classic and timeless image.

Nice tree-line in the foreground and the depth created by the wall behind it. Overall a very pleasing shot, Chris.

Classic Yosemite. I really like the shot and the variety of elements that you've captured. Processing looks perfect too.

A very enjoyable view here, Chris. The larger version is a must see to really get the full impact. One of your best IMO.

A beauty Chris! There' something special about fresh green in spring and this image conveys this extremely well. Comp. is elegant and delicate as it has become your standard by now.

I know you go crazy now - but I witness some hint of your trademark color cast in this one. There is some cyan tint. It is more noticable on the granite. Overall this makes the color temp of this image a bit cold - too cold for its own good I think. But that's an easy fix.

Hey Chris, beautiful comp. I love the way the trees and the granite play off each other. So much to look at in the large version. You have such a great eye for these scenes. But I agree w/ Dietrich about the white balance. I would also consider cloning out that stump in the lower right.

Without any sky, this takes on a whole new look, IMO. An absolutely excellent comp and the colors, like the blue in the stone, just make it better.

Excellent sense of scale, that might not be there otherwise. The deers are just a great addition to the shot. Love those greens as well!

Chris,

Yet another outstanding image from Yosemite. The combination of the spring greens and the power of the falls is a tough combo to beat - oh, just add some deer and there ya go!

I'm with a couple of the others about the color. It's not way off, but certainly on the cool side wih the blue/cyan in the cliffs. Otherwise, no doubt this is a keeper! A great addition to your growing collection.

Chris,
Wonderful capture. I love the way you've framed this image with the thin FG and deer. Its unique and it works for me. Nicely seen. Best Regards.
