Hi Richard,

Awesome composition Richard. The reflected tops make me look up and search for them in the photo but they are not there, yet I know they are. The rock in the middle balances everything.
I really think this is very unique and excellent.

compositionally excellent. love the bottom half. the top appears too bright in this presentation and all the texture in the snow is lost.

Great concept and composition! I'd like generally less blue, but that's a matter of taste.

Richard,

Very strong composition. For me the upper half is alittle hot and with less blue, it would balance the reflection in the water nicely. Great capture!

Interesting composition with great use of arcs. I like the way the icy shoreline contrasts with the warm sunlit reflection.

I really like how the top curve mirrors the one of the mountains reflection. A great eye on this one, Richard!

Fantastic work, Richard. I like the V-shape of the mountains and light in the reflection.

Richard,

What an brilliantly crafted image! The contrast of the warm and cool tones and emphasized wonderfully by the placement of the reflection in the water. This is outstanding - no nits or suggestions from me.

Did you dodge the bear that frequently closes this area?

Very cool shot man! :toast:

Mark,

Dodge a grizzly we did - a sow and three cubs at very close range. We hiked in at 3 am to catch sunrise with a can of bear spray and doing as much yelling along the trail as possible. Now I know why there are very few sunrise images from this very beautiful lake.

Really cool, Richard. I've often thought the sky's reflection is prettier than the sky and leaving it out would be OK. This confirms my belief. I could see darkening the middle of the background just a bit as it seems almost overexposed.

Visited the lake once and really like the angle you have on this version. the top seems a bit blue or bright but I really like the cliffs in the foreground which eliminates the needs to see any higher as its allready done for you .

I love the unique composition to not only concentrate on the reflection, but also position frame the foreground rock with the reflection.

Fabulous image, Richard. I like the space shapes in the comp, and the touch of mystery by only showing the sun-lit peaks in the reflection, which makes the image interesting and unusual.

Fantastic comp and collection of color captured here. If that middle ground ice sheet extended all the way across the frame to the right edge this would be absolutely perfect IMO. Wonderful work!
