Dinner Time
by John Kerr
I set up my tripod to photograph this dragonfly and captured one shot before it flew off. It returned just seconds later with this insect in it's front legs.
Canon 7D, Aperture Priority, 1/160 sec, F/11, Exposure Comp +1, ISO 640, Canon 70-300mm @300mm. Cropped approx 30% off original image.
Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.
Large image included.

This is a very strong image with the DF having dinner on a flower. Everything is tack sharp although the head is less so probably due to chomping motion
Nice details with good DOF and a nice clean background. Nicely done.
Good use of the natural light, great BG, nice details & POV of the action
