Hi Everyone, This image was taken at Mossbrae Falls this past winter. Thanks for looking, and for your feedback.

I like your chosen shutter speed for the waterfall, but I tend to like most my waterfall shots a little on the silky side, and that's a personal preference. I think the best part of this image is the fall itself. I would suggest a crop from the left and from the bottom to focus attention more on the fall. The other elements pull my eyes away a bit. The hanging icicles are pretty cool.

Chris,
The falls are captured beautifully here and the added element of the frost makes a difference - adding kind of a frosty mood or atmosphere. I'm with Angela a little with the other elements; it's not that they're distracting, but perhaps that they add so many additional elements that it becomes a little cluttered and takes away from the falls and surrounding frost. I'm not sure if this is something you might go for, but you could actually add a vignette, darkening and even perhaps go as far as blurring the corners and edges slightly to bring complete attention to the falls. That would certainly be artisitic and "manipulation," but it would also be creative. Just a thought. I really like the falls and surrounding frost, just a tad cluttered left and bottom. but that's just one person's opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.

You've gotten some good suggestions here already. I'd go much tighter considering the surroundings and the time of year (plants not in their most attractive state).

Nice falls, I agree about a somewhat longer exposure to soften the water, and cropping out the bottom portion of the image, as the clutter is more of a distraction than adding to the composition.
