Wonderful natural setting. Very sharp where it matters. I didn't realize they were such messy eaters!

A wonderful capture, David. The grass stalk with the seeds nicely frames the bird, and the pose is perfect. I'm not so wild about the messy bill, but if we had to eat without hands, I suppose our faces would be messy, too.

nice one, David. I like the colors, the perch, the detail. The active feeding and messy bill are cool too.

He is a bit of a sloppy eater huh? Colors and detail are great David and I like the winding branches on the grass perch.

A lovely looking bird. I think the square composition works well for this setting. I really like the delicate perch and natural background. Detail looks great in the larger version but not too kean on the food on it's beak. Graham

Hi LB,
Nice details. Looks like he was having a feast on that Johnson Grass. Too bad we only get to see them for a short period of time.

Wonderful perch, setting and behaviour David. Someone needs to teach it some table manners.
