Very nice capture Ron, Really like the habitat here, and perfect pose to show off those reds. When I view the larger photo it appears to me to maybe need a touch more contrast, but thats just a matter of personal preference or opinion. Again very nice! :toast:

Wonderful shoot Ronnie. I especially like that you caught the rwbb eyes open while calling. Last time I tried this shot the birds eyes were always closed. The blacks and composition are tops. You have set the bar hihg on this one!

Nice shot, good detail. I like the larger image best, but believe you could crop this a bit more. Thanks for posting.

These fellows look just like this around here too, Ronnie! The pose, of course, really makes the image! You brought out the detail beautifully too. :toast:

Ronnie, A strong image of a species tough to shoot well. Exposure on both reds and blacks looks good to my eye and I like the singing pose. The setting with the grasses is wonderful - I like the way they frame the bird. Ideally some of them would be a little further away from the top of the head but that's certainly very minor. I can never get them this sharp at that shutter speed when they're displaying.

Ronnie,
What makes this for me is the background flora and the perch he's on. Beautiful! As always, the bird is very sharp from the beak right down to the feet and the black detail on the top of the head and chest is very nice. I can't believe how sharp this is with a 1.7 TC. You set the bar as high or higher than anyone on this web site with all of your images Ronnie. Looking forward to your next post. Impecable.
