A section of the Honeycomb Buttes I found quite interesting while exploring here earlier this month. Remember the Rock Biter from Neverending Story? Childhood memories often spawn weird titles, so this is no different.

Single exposure blasted to oblivion via d&b (but still not wiping out the highlights or dooming the shadows), my not so subtle approach to cloud processing using both lightroom and photoshop, and some cool light from Momma Nature allowed me to explore a bit more of my creative side. So take it as that, I hope. ;]

Thanks for looking. Some new stuff from Devil's Tower and the Bighorn Canyon later perhaps....leaving again soon for some real mountain fun (finally after 6 years!!!!) in a few days...so dunno if I'll have the time.

By the way, some truly amazing work on here lately. Wish I could post some more comments, just so little time right now....

Wow I really like the way the foreground pattern and awesome sky mirror each other. I like the processing as it is a little different. Did you apply a blur/glow technique to the mountain and sky?

I like what you did to this. The sky and the ground have a resonance that works well.

just so little time right now....

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Decided just to post comments and no pictures.

I love the synergy between the landscape foreground and the sky, very dynamic. Given the strong processing look, this kind of image might be better suited for the photo art gallery - just something to keep in mind in the future.

I'm really liking what you captured here. It's powerful and dynamic. The processing is not something I'm fond of - seems like a great shot like this would stand very well on it's own. I'd love to see a version without the fancy ps effects. I know this is what you're going for though as apposed to a more straight photography approach.
