Mt Rainier National Park

I was drawn to the patterns in the many different plants. This composition and flow was the most pleasing to me.

What are your feelings when viewing this image?

Jim, I too find this a very pleasing photo. The pattern catches my eye as well. Overall, I like the lighting and contrast, though I wish the lower part of the image was not quite as bright as it pulls my eye to the bottom of the frame.

Regardless of the minor lighting nit, a definite keeper IMO!

Argghhh!!! Jimbo! what about that edge on the right! It's pretty damn good aside from that! I really like the lighting on the edges of the leaves. How the main leaf draws me in and then the leaves fan out is reall nice.

My feeling was "cool" as in temperature, and then, "these plants were made for photographers".

I really like how you have captured the contrast range of the changing intensities across each leaf. The numbe rof different greens my eye can pick out really makes this one interesting.

This looks like a piece of art, as only the nature can create. I'm wild about your picture. Really outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Jim, I'm now looking at this on my monitor at home, instead of my laptop at work. I withdraw my comments about the brightness in the lower part of the image - it looks great now!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment. This was one of my favorite images from a great day outdoors. Even if the day was not productive photo wise, just being out would have made up for it.

Jim,

I've been a bit busy lately and just saw this. I get exactly the same feeling as you when I view it. The comp, flow, color and detail are simply outstanding!
