Since there are so many DF post lately, I am joining the party with this one captured yesterday at the HK Wetland Park. I am equivocating on whether to clone out the submerged stem running across the image and would be interested to hear your view.

D90 300mmF4 iso200 F8 1/40 HH resting on railing of the walk way. Thanks for viewing and C&C appreciated.

Gorgeous shot!
Great colors and detail.
I'd vote "yes" to cloning out the light reed.

Fantastic perch, Gary. Count my vote as "yes" for removing the OOF reed.

Awesome shot, Gary. Wonderful tender colors and fine details. :toast:
(Instead of clone out the stem, what about to crop to square?)

Never seen a golden dragonfly around here and its huge! When I get one on the water flowers it is usually a tiny little thing. You've captured both the df and the waterlily beautifully. Yes, take out the stem. :toast:

Man, Gary - this is spectacular. The dragonfly looks like a piece of jewelery, and the flower is gorgeous.

What a great shot Gary. This is the kind of shot I've been trying to get, unsucessfully so far. You have great depth, tack sharp focus, and a very complimentary clean BG except for the oof twig....clone it would be my opinion. What a great image..well done :toast:

Well Gary, I think I would call that a “meteoric” rise up the learning curve with your new 300mm f/4 lens! This ranks as one of my top favorite captures of yours, to date. It is nice to see what can be done with this lens in the hands of a consummate perfectionist.

As far as the OOF stem, when I first opened the image I did not notice it. Only when I put on my nit-picking hat did it draw my attention. I think it could be argued that the color, location and arced form help balance and complement the BF. However, I’d probably remove it to avoid possible issues for some viewers. How's that for waffling on the issue!
