Purple Grass...

Last week I took my chance to photograph flowering grasses as there was almost no wind at all. However, it wasn't easy because the grasses were never completely without motion.
I especially love the dangling purple flowers.

D300, Sigma180mm, 1/160, F9, tripod.

I agree with you that these can be tough to photograph as they keep moving all the time

Nicel captured Ellen. I'm surprise about this excellent focusing at 1/160sec and 180mm. How did you manged the separation from BG with F 9?
