Flooded

This region experienced major floods during my visit. Bridges I had driven over were submerged the day after. It suited my waterfall and rainforest photography though. This was shot in heavy rain.

19 commentsWow, what an excellent point of view - feels like I'm right there in the torrent of the stream. There is so much going on here and in a good way. First, the background greenery just feels "Jurassic" to me which adds a certain mood to this, at least for me. The sweeping curve in the LR foreground just compliments the entire composition. Even the blurry ferns on the far shore work for me and aren't a problem in any way. Like I said, there's a lot to this and I've enjoyed exploring all it's parts.

One thought... I learned in graphic design fundamentals that eye flow from left to right (for westerners) creates harmony and right to left creates tension... So if you want to add tension to the moment go with the current perspective. If you want to create a little more peaceful eye flow, maybe flip it horizontally and go left to right...
This goes well as is.

The flow of water is incredible in this photo, it leads my eye to the beautiful greens in the background. Really nice!
Beautiful Image, It feels like you are in a South America rainforest. The heavy rains must have made this shot difficult. Great job!
