Hi Edwin,

Ah - the famous Brandenburg "Brother Wolf" shot, but this time with a Red Deer! I like the effect and my only comment here is that it would be interesting to see a series shot at various apertures - I'm assuming foreground tree and background are at different distances and I THINK having the obscuring tree slightly less out-of-focus might produce a stronger image, but this is purely speculation on my part without seeing a series of images (shot at different apertures). I'll have to get a bear shot like this one of these years!

Nice shot Edwin - thanks for posting this...

Brad

PS: And, for the record, I don't find the tree "distracting" at all, tho' I suspect this comment will come up!

Very, very interesting pose, Edwin! The bg is a little distracting, though; just a little.

Yes, this really does make me think of Jim Brandenburg's shot of the wolf. Very nice getting this. If possible I think I would like it with the tree not quite this far out of focus. Maybe that wasn't even possible. Either way, very nice and interesting shot.

Very nice Edwin - the tree has just the right amount of sharpness. I'd like to see a bit more space at the top though - the antlers are almost touching the frame.

Very cool, as posted. If I could tweak it, I would add a touch at top like Marsel suggested and maybe take a slight lean to the left, to make the division down the face not exact center. I like the very soft foreground tree and background.
