Skull Rock - Joshua Tree

This was taken at Joshua Tree NP and converted to sepia. I liked the way the rock emerged from the Earth. My equipment was Canon 20D and 17-85 lens.

A well balanced, well lit, and excellently converted image, Ken. The simplicity loving part of me would like it to be a simpler scene, but I can't find anything to nit or suggest.

I can see a face in the rock too. Neatly composed scene and good processing.

Ken,

Nice take away from JT. I like the "path" or open area in the foreground which helps the eye navigate through the scene. Interesting too is the gradation of tone in the sky where it looks like there's a glow on the horizon - I think this adds a subtle dynamic to the scene.

I agree, nice job with conversion and sepia presentation. No real nits here.

I like this, Ken. The monochrome treatment further simplifies the scene and really lets the shapes and textures shine through.
