The Brown Thrasher are teaching the babies how to fly in our backyard this is the only frame I got in focus. Not the best background but I'll take it. Cropped 50%.

Model: NIKON D3
Firmware: Adobe Lightroom
Lens (mm): 850
ISO: 320
Aperture: 6.7
Shutter: 1/1250
Flash Comp.: -1.0

In focus indeed! A very sharp BIF shot, and I'm not at all troubled with the background. Nice work :toast:

Excellant in flight shot. Just curious 850mm lens? Is that a lens + xtender? Sure is sharp Thanks for sharing.

Good job getting the bird tack sharp. I'm not too crazy about the bg.

wow, a Brown Thrasher in flight, great job getting one shot in focus, not an ideal background but the bird still separates nicely from it

Actually, Douglas; I think the BG works very well in this photo. The sharpness and lighting on the Thrasher almost makes it look 3D. Really nice.
