A Flood of Fiddlenecks

D300, 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6, tripod
ISO 200, 1/80 sec at f/22, 18mm
Photo taken April 4, 2010 in the Carrizo Plain National Monument, CA. The sea of fiddleneck wildflowers seemed almost endless. The photographic story is intended to be the abundance of the wildflowers.
Based on comments on my earlier posts, I've reduced the amount of sky visible in the image.
Comments and suggestions most welcome.

This is awesome! They are so numerous it's almost as if they were planted as a crop. Really a remarkable sight.

I'd have to say this is a paradigm instance of "spectacular" David. What a scene, beautifully presented.

You achieved the look you were going after. These look like they go on forever. Very impressive field of flowers - would LOVE to see this in person someday. I also like the patch of flowers on the hillside.

I love the vastness of the expanse of flowers. Excellent detail and dof, especially in the larger version

David: What a scene and a terrific capture. I probably sound like a broken record but I would crop even more of the sky, probably down to the top of the cloud bank. Most excellent shot. >=))>

I've never witnessed anything like this in person, but it must be awe inspiring.

Well titled, David, for this extraordinary scenic. The larger version
is great. I got some nice shots this spring from the Carrizo Plain.
Unfortunately, I missed this lovely opportunity. Thanks for sharing.
