I spent the weekend checking out the budding aspen leaves, which take on an almost lime-green color this time of year, in the Colorado San Juans. Despite a lot of haze on the previous day, Sunday's sunrise here under the Sneffels Range turned out pretty nicely.

You've captured some beautiful light here. The aspens are wonderful too . . . your shot makes me wish I was out there to see this sight.

There's few things more beautiful than the lime green of spring A little more web sharpening on the aspens wouldn't hurt.

Nice one Joshua,
Nice light, nice lines, nice comp.
I wish a bit more of the mountains were showing above the tree line. Or maybe some fancy processing could make the mountains POP?
Here’s to hoping for good Aspen color this fall.

Nice shot Joshua. The colours are really nice. It probably wasn't possible, but I think a higher viewpoint would have given a little more separation between the aspens and the mountains. As shot, the greens treetops kind of interfere with the nice warm peaks.

Quite spectacular Josh. The white trunks and the lime green leaves really stand out. I would like to see the hillside in the left hand corner brightened up a bit so the trees blend in better for a more natural look. Very nice image with great elements.

This is very nice Joshua - I like the contrast between the rugged mountain peaks and the nice color of the trees. Super light too.

Well this is real pretty, Josh, but i actually prefer the vertical on RMNP. The color on the lhs here throws the balance off a bit for me.

That's a beautiful shot, I really like it. I'd rememeber this spot for the fall. You can get a good shot of aspen boles with an evergreen mixed in.

Joshua,
What a neat and almost unique combination of colors; probably because we're just not used to seeing the emerging spring leaves of the aspen. Toss in some dramatic light at sunset and you've got a winner. A little better sharpening for the web would be my only nit.
