Here is an abstract , eerie view of a big Ice on the blacksand beach of Iceland . Jokulsarlon Area . With a very strange atmosphere , late in the night [ 2:00 AM ] and a fast moving sky.

It was so inspiring .. I was definetly tired .. dead .. but I was still able to find energy to capture these structures.

The thumbnail looked like a mushroom cloud over the ocean, from a planes point of view. (What is in my morning Café Fair ? )

I'm diggin' the palette of cool blues and somber deep darks. The motion of the sea and sky is intoxicating.

One of the best images I've seen as of late. Well done Alexandre

(Technically I could say it needs a slight rotation/distortion correction, but that is trivial when compared to this evocative image)

Oh man, this is very cool! The blues and the detail in the ice are astounding. Beautiful job.
"Ibex in the Snow" from your NPN Gallery is also awesome. Looking forward to seeing more of your outstanding work.

Very nice moody image here. I wouldn't mind a hiar more detail in the shadows -- not enough to take away from the contrast of the image, but just a hair more.

Oh boy, you're going to inspire a whole crowd of photographers to head out iceland if you keep posting these! Love the blue mood, and the motion/frozen contrast.

Awesome shot. I love the mood you've created here (and in a couple of your other posts). You might have been out of energy when you shot this, but the shot has an energy all its own.

Really nice creation Alexandre. The motion of the clouds and water with the static ice" sculpture makes for a great composition. Simply stunning!

This is a really special image Alexandre. Not only is the comp. strong, but the subject matter is highly interesting (and entertaining). And then there's a great mood and atmosphere. This one has it all. Only some slight tilt (clockwise).

Congrats!

Oh, this is just surreal. Wonderful detail in the ice and very dramatic setting. Definitely worth staying up for.

Love the bizarre sense of scale. Great work. Would toy with the idea of cropping near square perhaps or 4:5 removing the left side and putting the structure front and center.

Hi Alexandre

Like the overall feel and with the moving clouds and long exposure. The middle part of the image is evocative. I would like to see a smidgen more detail in the blacks but no biggy really as the overall image is really good. I saw this on your website a couple of weeks ago and thought - now isn't that nice!

This is very nice! I like the dark eerie mood to it a lot. A subject I may never have an opportunity to capture? Our subjects are limited to where we live, or can travel to, right?

I like the dark moodiness of the image, which contrasts well with the cold whiteness of the ice. Love the blue toning. V nice image!

Love the mood and the deep colors. The water and cloud motion contrasts so very well with the stationary ice. Amazing image.

Very nice, and the blueness overall adds to that icy cold feeling. Very beautiful and artistic. Well done.
