Found these growing in the shade of some oak trees on a Menlo Park, CA hillside in late April. Really appreciate all C & C.

Canon EOS 5D MkII; 1/160@f/5.0; 105mm, ISO 100, EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM, Induro CF tripod, timer.

Craig, Nice photo that shows the BE Grass in its habitat. In my opinion this may look better with a 5:4 or a Square Crop  - just a personal preference.

Craig: Welcome to NPN and to the finest Flora gallery on the planet. This is excellent. Really like the lighting and the selective focus. How do you like the Induro? It's on my short list for a new tripod. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>

Craig, nice color, light and DOF/POF choice. I also see this with a bit cropped off the top (maybe what Ram referred to), but nice as is.

Thanks to everyone for the comments.

Ram, I'm going to try out your suggestion re: cropping to 4x5. Thanks.

Bill, thanks for the welcome. In answer to your question about the Induro tripod: I love it! I finally got tired of lugging my heavy-duty Manfrotto around and sprung for the Induro C213. It's a 3 section 8x CF that supports 17 lbs. I've only owned it for about 2 months, but it has seen plenty of duty during that time and it has been a pleasure to use.
