Sedona As Nature Intends

A couple of months ago I posted the original color version of this in the Man and Nature gallery with a long vent about the monster sized house that sits way up on the slope at the base of Bell Rock and the continuing ruination of the Sedona area. After I settled down, I cloned out the house to present the scene "the way nature intended" and converted to B&W. Large version also provided.

Very nice! Lovely textures and the light is really good. I wonder what time of day it was shot!

Barry,

Excellent b&w with great tones throughout - although if you so chose you could simulate a red filter and make the sky with more contrast. But a minor opinion. I like the comp and how the smaller butte is an accent or compliment to the larger one. Nice work.

I like the side lighting in that it brightened the face of the rocks. In my opinion, both subjects look as they fit right into the Rule of 1/3s.
