Mystery Valley

This image was taken while visiting the Mystery Valley section of Monument Valley. This remote and largely untraveled area can only be reached with a Navajo guide. It is rich with Anasazi ruins and is aptly named. This particular image caught my eye as I liked all of the elements contained within the composition.

I like it. This would be a great spot to come back to when there's more happening in the sky.

Ken,

Sounds like a great opportunity for a unique experience. I also like the elements contained here and the cottonwood does well to fill an otherwise empty corner. Of course hindsight is 20/20 and I wasn't there, but my very, very minor nit would be the elimination of the piece of trunk in the ULC (upper left corner.) Not a big deal, but less merging of the tree branches with the arch might improve the comp as well. I'll say again, no biggie, but just something to think about with future comps.

Nice job with the technicals, color, exp, saturation, etc. Thanks for posting.

Everone - Thanks to all for your feedback.

Lon - I like your suggestion relating to the upper left and the removal of the tree. Thanks.
