In anticipation of peony season here in Nova Scotia, here's one from the past. Shot with a Canon Rebel XT 100mm macro f16 1/60sec hand held.

Bob: Pretty good HH technique to get a shot this sharp at this magnification and SS. I like the colors and center details. Most excellent.>=))>

Real nice Bob, beautiful color, detail and comp, I especially like the way the yellow stands out within the red. Great job.

Rich colors! I like the peek-a-boo comp, and the light is making the center glow. Well done.

Like the bold color palette Bob and I love the darkness in the reds. Good looking peony image for my tastes.

Peonies are just magnificent and the red ones are real showoffs. I have trouble containing the reds, they tend to bleed. You've done a nice job reining it in and nice sharpness to the center.
Tree peonies are just about gone here, but there are more to come!

Great color combo and point of focus. The details look very nice. Although I have to say, I keep thinking of the center of the peony as a cluster of french fries.

I like how you filled the frame with the peony, and the yellow against the red is stunning. Very beautiful.
