Wild Geranium? + Repost

Been running across a lot of these little beauties lately. I think the perfect 5 pointed star in the center is pretty cool. My sister thinks it'a Wild Geranium, while someone else said "Naw, that's just stink weed!" It smells OK to me. I really need to pick up a field guide. Thanks for looking. Any comments welcome.

Bruce: Not sure of the ID but I think you're correct. Great color palette and a good DOF choice. I think I would crop this to 5:4 ratio mostly from the left to get the flower a bit more off center. Well done.>=))>

Very nice image Bruce as posted. I do agree with Bill about the crop. For my tastes I'd like to see more of the blossom and the crop would accomplish that. I really like that star in the center.

Its only of the Geranium Varieties

- very small in size. Grows real wild and in good numbers. I really like the plane of focus and I am amazed you pulled off with both the petals and the center in such sharp focus.
