I like the comp Bob, but the harsh light and BG really take my untrained eye from the subject. I think (if possable ) I would try to go back and just get this composition with less light and a shallow dof. Just my humble opinion.

I like how you handled the light here, Bob. The colors and shadows in the tulips look nice. A better isolation of a group would have helped strengthen the photo.

Bob, I like the low view point and can sense great intentions here... But agree with others that a less busy BG would help.

Nice backlighting. Great title. Dont know what your aperture was, but maybe just blurring the background a bit more would bring attention to the tulips.

Bob: The POV works really well for me and the backlighting is excellent. The OOF splotches in the sky from the tree limbs don't work for me but it looks like removing them would be a pretty easy clone job. A tiny bit more DOF to bring all of the blooms sharp would help also. The colors are a real treat. >=))>

thank you for your helpful comments. I did open up my lens to 4.5 which is about maximum on my 200 mm , there was a good deal of backlighting and I did shoot with ISO 100.
Tulips are gone now but there will be a other flowers thank you all

thanks for the comments regarding focus and background. I did find someone who is expert in Photoshop, and was able to clear many of the distractions in the background.
