Very well done Chris, the DOF/POF are right on for this portrait in my opinion. I look forward to many more posts.

Chris, Just the right amount of background blur while preserving the details. Looks nice to me

Welcome Chris... Very pretty colours but the bg looks a little busy to me. Look forward to seeing many more from you.

Welcome Chris. Nice detail, color, and light on the FG flower. I like the OOF flowers in the BG.

A wonderful first post here Chris, the grass bg works well here to bring out the flower. You might also consider a slight crop off of the top as an alternate view

Hi Chris. Seemed to have missed this so sorry for the late comment. As I scrolled down I found that the elimination of the top portion of the background improved the image dramatically. Welcome aboard and I hope to see many more posts.

Hey, this one is great, too, Chris! The only tiny nit is that the left petal of the subject flower impinges on the petal of the background oof flower. Ideally, try to avoid that, but like I said, it's one of those tiny nit, pesky detail sorts of things. It doesn't harm this photo so much at all, but on other comps, something like that really can lead the viewer away from what you want them to see. Great color and detail in this and wonderful light.
Keep 'em coming!
