Spray Lake *UPDATED*

Here is one from November which I just finally got around to processing. I got some keepers on this morning from further down the lake which where more obvious keepers, however this one has grown on me. Once I processed this one I rather liked the dreary mood of it. I thought this was a rather original take on this location as well. I would love to hear your comments on this one as I feel it is a little different for me.

The overall blue tone suits the image and definately adds to the cold feel to it Wayne. Nice contrast in the distant hills.

Gary.

You did well capture the cold dreariness of the place but it's the energy of the foreground water that really makes this image. Very well balanced feel to it with the foreground triangle mirroring the triangles of the mountains and sky.

I like the mood as well. I like the composition with all the whitewater drawing your eye into the frame. The motion blur in the water looks great. Nicely Done Wayne!

Here is an updated version. I did not like the dark patch at the bottom left, I gave the image a little more punch, and fixed up the whites in the water. I also cropped a little from the right side because it seemed too dark and the image was to centered for my liking. I also fixed up the distortion in the middle of the water on the horizon... it seemed to bulge upward.

Nice motion in the foreground Wayne. Not sure why you have not received more comments. Maybe just the monochrome appearence in the thumbnail.

Awesome Wayne, very moody. I actually prefer the dark shadows in the original version... Adds to the atmosphere.

Thanks for the feedback everyone... Adrian, likewise... I'm a big fan of your work!

Life has been full of changes lately, thus the lack of participation on my part. I hope to get a little more involved here again in the near future although my wedding and portrait season is just starting to get busy again. I'm doing a backpack trip in the near future so maybe I will have some fresh stuff to share after that. Keep up the great work everyone!

I also like the sense of motion and the rework is better. The cool blue tones are nice as well. Excellent mood.
