Shake a Tail Feather

Well I was hoping to get a wild turkey fanning, and not a wild turkey's fanny, but hey...

Probably wouldn't have posted this if the bird didn't have his head partially turned, but thought it an interesting view of the plumage, spurs, and whatever else you care to view. D-60, ISO-450, 1/500th, f-5.6 at 175mm on a drizzly day. Thanks for any C&C!

Those look like wet feathers, leaving him in no mood for display! Overall I think he is going the wrong directions, but I still enjoyed looking!

I like the raised foot here Bill, the bird looks fairly soft to me though. :toast:

It was raining, for sure Lon. It does look soft Nate, especially in the larger version, which seems to be happening a lot since I've been processing from the D-60. Not that it isn't a tad soft in spots in general... but not such viewing on my full screen.

Hmm. I've seen a lot of this side of these birds lately. Can't seem to get them going the other direction. Haven't tried shooting this side yet.
