Aspen Glow

Gallery: 10 Years of NPNPosted April 29, 20102,285 views4 comments
The late afternoon sun shining through an aspen grove. It was amazing to come around a bend in the road to see the whole grove glowing in the light. The compression kind of kills this, especially in the small version, please see the larger version. Any comments and critiques are welcome. And congratulations to NPN and Jim on 10 years! It has been an invaluable learning tool for me.

This is incredible, glad you posted it here as I've never seen it before.

This is stunningly beautiful, Scott! The colors are great, and it certainly
does glow on my monitor. Incredibly sharp with great handling of DOF.
You must have a camera with many pixels, or perhaps this was done with
a large format camera.

Thank you Robert. Yeah, I shot this with a Canon 1DS II, apologies for not including that info.

This is a fine classic Colorado high country composition. The light was definitely in your favor. My eye is slightly distracted as a result of the CCW slant of the more prominent foreground trees.
