barn owl

Gallery: 10 Years of NPNPosted April 28, 2010722 views8 comments

I almost missed this party, not enough NPN time for me lately. This is my best selling fine art image, taken in 2007. I couldn't believe what a close approach this bird allowed, nor could I believe this pose it struck.

NPN has been the single best learning tool since I first picked up a camera.

To get that wing drop, with that direct look at you, and in that light was just amazing Dan. And from a Barn Owl in any light at all! Wonderful post for the gallery.

This is an amazing shot. You couldn't have asked for a better pose, he is looking right at the camera. The barn owl is one of my favorite owls, so it is always a joy for me to see photos of them, especially a photo like this one.
