The Foot Bridge

I felt not worthy to post in this gallery, but finally thought... what the hey, I post everywhere else surely and WAY too often!! This image is one of my personal favorites... I drove by this spot hundreds of times, watching it for the right light to shoot. Early one Sunday morning last year, while going out to look for a GBH, it was time. A shooting buddy was driving, and I shouted "pull over!!!", even startling him a bit.

The first shot of the day (a landscape/horizontal) and this, the second shot of the day, are all that I have used from it--an oddity for me. I've been asked to allow the image to be painted by many artists, probably 10-15, and I believe some have done so without asking.

And, just yesterday I had a call from a very popular regional magazine about doing a shoot using this image and bridge for their upcoming cover. So, I know it's not perfect as I first imagined because of a previous posting on NPN. The wise, incredible people here pointed out some things I would have never thought of--and hopefully I can use this input and sage advice on the upcoming shoot to make it even better. That's why I joined NPN, to become better, and I appreciate everyone's patience and constructive critiques of my images. What an amazing place, congrulations on 10 years of the best nature photography in the world. Hands down, thumbs up!

One can always find ways to tweak, but this one is worthy of pride!

Bill, this is definitely my favorite of the photos I have seen you post and definitely worthy of this gallery.

Thank you folks!! Lon, you got it, there are things to change and learn from. But for example, this is exactly the 2nd shot of the early morning. No contrast, color, or sharpening... nothing done. Nature au natural? Anyway, appreciate the feedback as always folks. All of you have been so helpful. :toast:
