Sony A100
Tokina 828 AT-X Pro @ 165mm, CPL
ISO 100, 1/6 @ f22
Warmed and opened the shadows in CS2
Pedernales Falls SP, Blanco County, Texas

A little change of pace from the Flora landscape to something Texas isn't particularly noted for - fast running streams. Got here yesterday morning just after sunrise and liked the sidelighting on the tree with the cliff face in shadow. More flowers to come. All comments welcome.>=))>

What an awesome light you've got here, Bill. I love how you used the diagonals here with the tree standing straight up against that dynamic. The dark background nicely outlines the leafs. Did you have some stry light in the lens here? Looks like there is some in the ULC. You could correct that by playing with contrast or a little D&B.

The larger version is quite appealing, Bill. Love the lighting on the tree.

I like the concept for this bill, but the shadows in back seem a bit dark. Opening them a bit would maybe make them a more prominent feature in the frame.

I'd keep the shadows if i were you--they help highlight the nice light on the tree. Looks great to me, Bill!

Love the spotlighting on the tree! Great composition - really like the diagonal placement of the rocky ridge in the stream. I like the shadows in the BG as it really makes that tree pop.

I love the shot and the composition. I'm with Tony in seeing that the shadows in the back left could have a bit more detail. Whether that's double processing one shot or bracketing the shot, I think it would have more depth and interest. It's still a killer shot!
