Hello all,
this from my files. I like the stare of this Heron, taken at the Brazos SP.

40D 100-400 @340
f5,6 1/200
ISO 400
HH

Thanks for looking. C&C are always welcome.

Hi Monica,
I really like the open beak and the setting. This looks darker to me than it should be. It appears the bird was in the shade here, often in that case you would need to add some positive exposure compensation to adjust for that. If you go back to the raw and increase the exposure I think you will have a very good image here. :wavey: :toast:

This has the potential to be an excellent image of one of my favorite birds. I see that Nate has already suggested brightening the image in RAW. It will be great if you can.

l like the composition and the image is very sharp. It needs to be lightened some.

Very nice shot Monica. As Nate suggested next time bump up your exposure when in the shade. Hopefully this was shot in RAW and can be corrected. :toast:

great looking bird, Monica. I agree that it is too dark as is, but that can probably be fixed.

Like so many others, I think some brightening would go a long way here, Monica. However, I do like the way the eye stands out in the darkness! :toast:
