I'm quite fond of your composition here, as it makes my eye wander all over the place (in a good way). The blue and green colour scheme is also very appealing. Definitely a tricky exposure with that bright opening in the dark clouds, and I'd say you've done a pretty good job handling it with your blend. That said, the sky does look a little odd to me in a way that I can't really explain. I'd also maybe burn that big white rock in the foreground just to make it a little less dominant.

Yea...pretty stoked on this comp and the light is a bit surreal. Very solid work!

Find a lot to like here, the rocks in the FG, how the stream leads me through the image, the mountains and sky. All works together nicely.

Ditto the above. That large rock is a nice anchor, and there are lots of places for the eye to roam. The sky looks odd to me too; it is the color of blue sky but has cloud detail.

The sky - and it's reflection - are a very odd shade of blue. The rest of the image is beautiful. I love the composition, and the beautiful details are really well captured. Very nice work!

Nice blend and a very peaceful scene. You did well to deal with the harsh light.

I'm on an uncalibrated monitor at the moment so I can't really comment on the color of the sky, etc. that some have mentioned, but overall I really like this. Lovely scene, especially given the harsher light, and well thought out composition. My only nit would be the distortion of the trees (leaning), which is easily fixed in PS.

This is pretty darn good. I always enjoy your comps. I think the blend looks real good too. I see the color issue in the sky. I think you have cloud detail because the sky is mostly covered with clouds. They're just too cyan/blue IMO.

I sent you an e-mail

I'll go back and check the cr2 file with regards to the sky. They were a pretty outrageous blue color though, and minimal sat. work was done. This was supposed to be a sunset shoot, but as you can see, the storm conditions would not give us any good sunset color (although I was perfectly satisfied with the stormy blue sky). I am noticing some slight noise or something in the sky, I will go back and check, could be web sharpening issues. Thanks for pointing this out though. :toast:

At first I thought this was in the Sierras around Tioga Pass. Very nice scene.

Fantastic comp and blend, Ben. The white rock and the whitish sky really compliment each other. This is very well done all around.

Lovely shot, Ben. The comp is flawless. As usual the lens distortion feels a little strange.
