Duck Soup 1

Mergansers have become my favorite ducks, and yesterday morning in the middle of a snow squall (yes, April 18th in northeast PA), I found this couple on a creek where a GBH hangs out. I don't know if it was the weather, or there were ducklings somewhere, but they did not fly off and I kept following them up and down the stream. Besides the steep bank and branches, the snow affected the crispness on several really neat shots, but I still think they are worth posting. Hope you agree, suggest the larger version. Cropped down and sacrificed a bit of sharpness in trying to get the snowfall, ISO-100, 1/30th at f-3.7. Thanks!!

Thanks Rich, can't argue with any of that. I was really trying all different settings w/ mixed results, to get both the snow and the birds. I can work with dulling the whites and sharpening some more... I think.
