In the higher country there are still very few flowers, but there are other signs of spring. The fiddleheads of several species of ferns are popping up in the wet woods, replacing last year’s crop. I think these are cinnamon ferns.

What a beautiful and fuzzy trio Wayne. I love the foreground and ferns, not too enamored with the upper portion of the background, but there isn't much you can do at the forest floor.

Nice lighting and you got the ID correct. I like the composition with the fern fronds at the base of these fiddle-heads
