The Handsome Prince

He is tree years old .. you can call him a teenager :) Full of character !! He wants to stay home but in tiger society when a boy grows up his father won't allow him to become a competition .. On top of it this guy's father is the legendary king of Bandhavgarh National Park B2 who has ruled the forest for 9-10 years. Inevitably this handsome prince is facing a tough time to convince his dad that he won't trouble him. He is often getting some beating from his daddy as you can see a pretty fresh wound on his arm but he is not bothered by it ! So he keeps roaming in his father's territory and catching his own prey :) Even after he has grown up he still has some kittenish charm in him. We all love him really very much :) Hope someday he will get his father's throne !

An interesting shot of an impressive male ! It looks like he has been hunting Porcupines ... guessing from the injury on his shoulders.

Hi Subharghya,

I love those eyes. The detail in the face (especially as seen on the larger version) is great and I think you've really nailed the exposure. Some may considered the puncture wound a bit of a distraction, but it simply added visual interest and made me curious (I looked at the image prior to reading your commentary). About my only suggestion (and I stretching it to come up with this!) would be to consider cropping a very slight amount off the top of the image - I think the eyes would be just a little stronger if moved a little further yet from the vertical mid-point of the frame.

Thanks for the background info in the commentary - gave nice context to what we're seeing here (especially that wound).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Brad

Thank You All for your appreciations

@Jagdeep - May be my assumption is wrong but I had heard that few days earlier of this image B2 was having some heat exchange with him so probably that wound is due to the beating from his Dad  He is seen almost daily and so far no one has reported about him catching porcupines .. I hope he stays away from that rodent !

@Brad - Thanks for your honest and frank critique .. I think you are right, although have cropped some amount from top of the original frame still may be I could have cropped a wee bit more from top for more balance of the eyes

BTW if anyone is liking this for any magazine/book cover then I can provide more space on top from the original frame for magazine name
