Here is another osprey with sea trout image. I like this one because there is great eye contact with the osprey and the trout. Also, both bird and fish are sharp. As always comments are greatly appreciated. Larger image posted for critique.

Rich, the dark spots are water and slim coming off the fish, so I believe I will leave them. If I clone them out, then no using this image in any competitions.

Ron…….. wow other dazzling ospray shot.
The trout is in perfect position to get a great view of it .
Is it me but it seems every time you post this combination of bird and fish? The fish are getting bigger and bigger.

Ron,
I really like the flight pose of the osprey grabbing firmly the trout and the eyes contact too.
Superb detail in the larger version. :toast:

Ron, another excellent osprey shot!
Not perfect wing position, but the fine detail , positions, and eyes more than make up for that.

Kudos Ron, this is outstanding. The eyes make the photo come alive and that the talons frame the eye of the sea trout is compelling.

Good stuff! :toast:

Outstanding image, Ron! In addition to the eye contact, I like the great wind spread. Must have some power in those wings to lug the trout up in the air. :toast:

Thanks for sharing this!

This is really wonderful. The position of the fish is absolutely perfect. This is the epitome of telling a nature story with photograph. You guys hand holding 500/4s must be built like weight lifters! Wonderful photograph.
