Night on the Aucilla

The Aucilla River is a beautiful river both in the daytime and nightime. This was taken across from my campsite at about 10:30 p.m. local time. A very bright full moon had just risen above the tree line in back of me, lighting the trees on the far bank. Shot back in March 2007 and reprocessed for this gallery. A large version is provided as well. Please excuse the noise in he large version, my Noise Ninja has been fouled up since my computer crashed! :frown:

Bill,

Excellent addition. I really like the streaking clouds; in addition to the stars, I think the clouds really add to the overall comp. the lit treeline along the river is wonderful.

Bill, if my memory serves me right, I can recall when you first posted this image. In fact up to that time I'd never seen such a quality night time image before. The image truly captured such excellent detail even with such low light conditions.

Glorious. What a great concept. Love the faint radial striations of the clouds.
