Looks like a nice winter's day to be in the woods. Nicely composed, except I wish you had been closer to the shoals. I love barren woods like this.

Mary,
Definitely a quiet and peaceful spot. I was a little unsure about the bright horizontal in the background, but Bill's comment helped me figure it out. A nice image that I don't know what I would have done differently - other than to say that I see lots of other opportunities here including abstract water reflections and also possibly the small cascades and as Bill suggested getting closer to the wall in the background.
Also, you might want to let us know if you are looking for feedback, critique or just wanted to share?
No real nits, but I think this lacks something to keep the viewer engaged.

Thanks for the comments! Yes, this place had alot of hidden treasures... this is the first of several nice shots I got that day. I really enjoyed the afternoon spent here. Unfortunately, I will never be able to return. This is part of Fort Knox military grounds. My friend had a permit to fish, but alas she didn't know you couldn't be in this exact location... which has a waterfall to boot! Anyways to make a long story short... I ended up a third degree tresspassing citation! Too bad, I had come this far in life, with a clean record... until now.
But! when I think back on it. It was worth it!
Now that I look at this posted, I think it may need a little more contrast/darkening.

I do think I like this version a tad more. But, both are a nice memory of a quiet spot.

Ouch! Well, glad you were at least able to photograph it while you were there. Sounds memorable, regardless. I agree that something more to engage the viewer here would be optimal. There are lots of disparate elements, but nothing to really focus on.
