I observed Red shouldered Hawk catch snake and fly back to nest to feed it's young in Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.

Pentax K7, Pentax DA* 300mm F4 @ f6.3, 1/2000 sec., ISO 800 hand held.

Ed, nice job of capturing this moment! Like it has been mentioned, a cleaner BG would make this stand out more, but you normally can't do much about that. I might try a few adjustments in processing to seperate your subject more from the BG. I think you can make a bigger impact with this shot :toast:

Great capture, Ed. Very nice composition. Perhaps the head is a bit soft, a larger version could be appropriate.
