Biking through the Cuyamaca mountains in southern California, I came across this flower field. The light was surprisingly ok for mid-day, so I took the shot. Spring is so fleeting!

Daniel, Nice image. like the colors & the comp. The fence adds to the image.

Without the fence, it would be only a so so image, good composition.

Well seen Daniel. The scenery is beautiful with the hills and the wildflowers. An old rustic fence line like you have here is a great element to help complement landscape photographs. The one thing I would try to do if you get back to this location is photograph from a different point of view. I would have the fence travel a more diagonal line throughout the photograph. Not cutting the photo in half but just running it on a little more of an angle. Thes are fun shots to take, just experiment with it and see what you get.
Once again, nice shot and great DOF.
