Shot on Pensacola Beach, FL in November of 2007. I was walkng to the truck when I looked over my left shoulder and noticed this scene. I immediately set up and shot several images which, as it turned out, were the best of the afternoon. I've included a larger version as well.

D2X w/ Tokina ATX 12-24 @ 24mm
2 seconds @ f/11 - MLU and mc-30 remote release
100 ISO
No filters (that I remember)
tripod

Critques, suggestions, and comments always welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Wonderful graphic qualities to this Bill. I was born in Fort Walton Beach when my dad was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base after his tour in Korean War. I have never really seen Florida since we are from the north east. Your images want to make me want to visit here to see what I missed when I could not see (photographically speaking). Don't think I could take the heat though.

Supremely, subtle, simply sublime image Bill. It pays to keep you head on a swivel when returning to your vehicle or putting away your gear I have several times pulled everything back out to capture a developing scene. Please excuse the beginning I went a little S crazy. I was just overcome.

It's rare to see a great composition which is both a grand scenic and an abstract. Well done!

This awesome Bill. I love the abstract nature of this image, and relationship between positive and negative space. Wonderful image!
