WOW! 10years.. I think I've been around for most of them (I'm NPN469-- 2003 ).

This was the 1st image I posted a few years ago after moving here to Oregon. It is one that generated probably the most comments that I've received one an image. I had been photographing in Oregon for many years, but this was the 1st shot I took after actually moving here. I wasn't even unpacked when Marc Adamus invited me to join him p at Mary's Peak in the coastal range since the weather was really conducive for making these kinds of images on this day. I remember being so taken with this spot in the fog & rain that I only shot 3 frames in over an hour. Thanks Marc.

Kudos to Jim , Donna and the staff, for making NPN what is is today,
the premier nature forum on the net. Somehow, I know that the next 10 will be even better.

Also, thanks go out to my fellow NPN'ers for your contributions, images, articles etc they have helped me be a better photographer. You ever stop learning. Thanks you everyone

Well ... after perusing your web site a little just now, I definitely wouldn't say that this is one of your strongest compositions. Still nice though.

Great atmosphere you captured here, and a classic Oregon image.

Speaks softly of the peace in those woods. This illustrates the power of simplicity.

So primitive and pristine, as well as moody. Wondeful image - I can smell the dampness!

Foggy forests. I can look at them forever. Very nice, Jack.
