To celebrate the opening of this gallery and as contribute I´m posting one of my most commented images I´ve posted in NPN. Thanks for this great resource of Nature photography around the Internet!

A color burst in the stormy sky during sunset revealing a magic moment of light in the wild harbor.
This image is a 3 exposure manual blend, not for HDR purposes - the light was soft and naturally well balanced top to bottom, even no need for filters - but 3 moments of different situations:
1 photo that had the appropriate and more colorful sky, other having the water flow as desired at MG, and finally a huge wave crashing in the big rock.
All 3 shots made at f/19 4 sec. ISO100

Thanks all.
@Anthony,
This was my last image from 2009, shot in 30/12, what a great nature gift, this light on the last year very last journey.
Looks like Oregon?

We have numerous sea stacks, high cliffs, caves, an extreme rough and wild shore in this location - Cape Roca Coastline (present image) and the gigantic fascinating seascapes in the South and Southwest shore, Costa Vicentina and Alentejo.

About this photo "Purple Light" - the location, this is a surprising spot, an old fishermen harbor established deeply in the wild shore of Cape Roca slopes. A couple houses in ruins are found around in the cliffs, and as a personal note, I´m grateful to capture this light, it´s a hard trail down there and this mystical mood totally renders the bay, and leaves space for dreaming about ancient times of fishermen meeting the sea...

16 commentsHow recent was this one? That pink color is just stunning. I would love to visit the sea with big rock stacks like these. The foreground rocks are just big enough to lead you in to the scene.
Thanks for sharing one of your memories with us.
Great job
Wow, other than the pebbles this looks like Oregon!
You really nailed this one. I love the dreamy water and the perfect light.
