Delightful shot!
Fine detail and intimacy!
The tighness on the bottom bothers me a bit - was there something there you didn't want to mess with, or ? If not, a bit more room would improve this, perhaps even cloning in more sand.

Great shot! I really like the way you caught them both looking at you. This shot has personality plus. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice intimate shot Jess! It even looks like they paid you to pose for a family portrait the way they are looking at you. Is this one hanging on their wall in the bear cave? Very nicely done!

Beautiful image with with the cub stealing all the attention. The fact that they are both covered in sand takes this one above a nice shot.

Precious poses Jess and your super low POV makes this a very strong image! No nits, only a wish that you had posted a 1200 px version:wink: .
I am not bothered by the little space at the bottom as presented, but it could become a small issue when framing or stretching the print.

Love the poses, Jess. Do you have the technical info for this shot? Always curious to see settings.

Belated congratulations on the National Geographic cover, btw. :toast:

Love the eye contact and the sand on the bears. Nice low angle as well. The only thing I might suggest is taking a little off the left side.

Clean exposure, nice low angle and engaging expressions. The Sand clinging to fur raises this one a level! The only thing I can see you might experiment with is cropping. Given that the female is already cut off across her hindquarters, I think maybe a crop on the right (maybe on the "L" of Lee) would be a slight enhancement. Overall, great capture!

Very beautiful, very intimate n great poses ! Not sure how much crop is this but feel that framing could be, possibly, better.

Great details. Rich colours. Agree with Lon Sharp about cropping some more to give emphasis to only the entire cub and the mother's face. :toast:

Great shot! Nice detail, light and color. If it were mine I would crop in from the top and left and maybe a little from the right to kind of zero in on the bears.

In addition to the obvious sharpness and detail you achieved, the intimacy of the bears is obvious and most compelling. A dream shot... wish it were mine! :toast: :toast:

The coy expressions are what makes this for me, and the sand of course. Looks like a morsel of salmon breaded in sand in front of the little fella. Beautiful photo Jess!

Worth to start selling postcards... Looks like mama is giving a lecture about those twoleggers with the cub listening attentively. Love the sharpness, DoF, the detail and the cut. I think there is enough space for framing so I wouldn't give more space at the bottom

AWW! That bear cub is adorible! I like how the bears are looking straight at you. I also like the sand on the cub's nose. I wish I took this picture. I don't see grizzly bear's that often but when I get a good picture I want the bear to be as cute as these bear's .
