I really like your dof choice and comp. I might brighten it a tad. :toast:

Ken: Nice comp. You have at least one maybe 2 anthers in focus. I agree with Mike that this could do with a bit of brightening.

Very shallow focus and intriguing, Ken. It looks a little dull, but I guess that could be explained by end of the day lighting. Still, a tweak of brightness seems like it might do a world of good. Very pretty yellows with a decent exposure.

Ken,

Unless you like the subdued nature of the image and you very well may, I'd probably brighten it and maybe hit it with a curves adjust either in PS or Lightroom. The yellow agains the black bg is very nice, It just seems, as the others have said, that it should pop a bit more.

Ken: Make it me four on wanting to see this a touch brighter but I do like your comp. Getting all of the anthers sharp on these guys requires really careful DOF/plane of focus control. If you have a DOF preview feature on your camera you might try to get in the habit of using it and making the fine adjustments that can take a good image into the exceptional category. >=))>

Very nice comp Ken. I also would prefer a tad more brightness.

Ken, other than a tad dark, I really like your image. Good job. :toast:
