Pampas dawn

This stand of ornamental grasses had intrigued me for some time. It seemed to offer something interesting, but I never seemed to hit the right conditions until this particular morning, as the sun rose under a threatening sky.

Canon G9, 14mm, 1/250 Sec, F6.3, iso 100, handheld

Thanks in advance for any comments!

Very nice and very graphic capture Jim, well worth the wait and patience for the right light. :toast:

Nice. I like how the clouds accent the wispy grasses. You had just the right light for this.

I just love this forest of pampas with the moody overhead sky. The sense of drama, motion, and light is wonderful.

Ah, this is nice, Jim. An uncommon scene here in flora and thus refreshing to see. I like the way you kept the stems dark and let the light colored grasses stretch up to the stormy looking sky. I think this is so well done.

As fine a flora scape as I recall seeing Jim. I love the mood as well. The first reason I've seen to own a 14 mm for the kind of photography subjects that interest me. Just a splendid creation.

Wow Jim. This is a stunning, wonderful shot. I love the sky and the light. One of the better environmental shots that I have seen in a long time. Awesome!
