ISLE ORANSAY LIGHTHOUSE

I've just returned from a week photographing in Scotland where the light is so changable it's just perfect for moody landscape photos. I particularly like the heavy clouded days because with patience the sun will usually break through at some time.

Canon 5D, Canon 24-105, 1/80th sec at f16 and iso100

Nice scene Graham. I might do something with the twigs sticking into the btm of the frame, but otherwise an excellent image. Well done.

I love the light in this one.Nice composition as well. I don't like the twigs in the foreground, though. But otherwise it's a great shot.

Wow! That is certainly Scotland with all its dramatic clouds and light. Well done, but I agree with others who would like to see those twigs banished.

Beautiful image. Magical light in all the right places. Nicely captured. The warm tones of the moss go well with the cool background.

Stunning image with the light shining on the lighthouse. The contrast, clouds, snow capped mountains all add up to make this an outstanding image, well done.

The light on the structure really makes this sing. Wonderfully moody.

Great shot Graham. The grandure of the mountains complimented by a little attitude from mother nature works for me every time. I'm glad you waited long enough for the clouds to open up a bit as the lighthouse stands out as it is intended to. Reminds me of our Rocky mountains here in Alberta.
