House Wren

I must have stumbled into this little House Wren's territory because she/he scolded and followed me for about 3 or 4 minutes in Placerita Canyon State Park, near Santa Clarita, CA last week. The bird stayed in deep cover but I got this shot, in early morning light through an opening in the brush which is the cause of the oof branches framing the bird.

Thanks for looking and for your comments and suggestions.

nice, Hans--I like the light, detail, and setting. I would probably crop a little looser if it was mine.

Apart from it being a bit large in the frame, this is a good quick opportunity shot.

Nice detail on this little wren. I agree about wanting a bit more space around it.

I would love to be scolded by the wren - If it gave me an opening for a shot like this. :toast:

Nice shot of this little guy, perfect light and dof. I like the soft dew on the perch as well

Hans,

I like every thing about the image but I would like a little more room about the bird as it feels a little tight to me. Techs look good and I love the wren's pose & eye contact.

You got nice and close by the looks of it Hans. I'd maybe give him more breathing space if you can.
