Nice capture of him out in the open and with a wasp, too! Maybe back down on the saturation/brightness on the nape of the bird to bring out some more detail there. What a pretty bird. Sharon

Very nice photo. The colors are nice and the wasp is added bonus to the picture. Well done.

A very beautiful bird. Amazing turquoise color, nice comp and the wasp is a bonus. IMO the position of the OOF leaf touching the head distracts just a tiny bit. I think it would be better if there was a little room between the birds head and the leaf or if the leaf at least partially disappeared behind the head a little bit. As it is the tangent formed by the leaf and head bugs me a little.

Always great to get them with food! The colors look natural for this gorgeous species but I think you did lose some detail on the nape, possibly just from downsizing for web.

Amazing colour, good eye contact and added interest with prey.

It's a gorgeous bird Rick and getting it in profile with the wasp showing so well is great. Exposure looks good and I like the setting. The OOF leaf coming out of the head is slightly unfortunate but not a big deal for me.

Beautiful Rick - love to see a larger version. Might be tempted to play with the oof leaf - somehow?
cheers

Very nice capture Rick. I am viewing from my work monitor, so not sure fi the colors are over saturated ro not. They look good on this monitor. I also like the diagonal bracnsh going through the frame on this.

What beautiful colors to this bird, must of been something to view and photograph. The aqua green on the bird looks a little over saturated on my work monitor but that could be due to other factors.
The perch works great and hanging leaves for me are not distracting since the bird is what draws my eye, way to go.

Rick,
The great look at the red eye, the combination of turquoise and black in the plumage and the wasp in the bill are all great. I do find the leaf that goes behind the head slightly unfortunate btu at least it draws my eyes to the bird's head and doesn't pull them away. There is a thin halo around the bird, carefully selecting & masking the bird before sharpening should eliminate that. I find the oof leaves on the right side of the frame subtle & appealing.
