Photo Taken at Boxley Valley in the Buffalo River Valley, Arkansas
Most mornings The Elk that have been re-introduced into Arkansas come into the valley almost every morning for food. Photographers line up on the road & shoot away. This fall morning was cold & foggy in the ozark mountains. Shooting Temp about 32 degrees. I got alot of decent pictures.

Nice image, I like the hazy element. It is a bit soft, but IMHO not enough to really distract from the photo. Thanks for sharing.

Nice alert looking pose. I agree with John that it is OOF. Also the OOF plant in the foreground distracts quite a bit. If you could have moved a few feet to the right it would have taken care of the plant.

Arkansas agrees with her; she looks fat and happy! The lack of any directional lighting seems a bit of a drawback, but you captured her with an interesting open mouthed pose complete with bite of grass. I think it would benefit with some additional sharpening in post processing.

Good pose and solid composition Ken. Unfortunately I do have to agree here with the comments made about softness and the OOF FG plant though. Did you sharpen the image at all for web output?
